It has been a rather quiet week over here and I hope you are all well. A lot has been going on - work-wise and family-wise which forced me to put my little blog a bit on hold these past few days. It feels good to let go of it though, when there is so much other stuff going on around you.
I went to my first WW meeting on Wednesday night and I feel absolutely energized to get this weight loss thing going and I am really motivated to get back in shape. I signed up for a 3-month-trial to get things going and will just wait and see how to move on afterward.
Just to make things clear, I do not want to lose weight to fit into any kind of "standard" other people have set for themselves or others. I want to lose weight to live a more healthy life, to live longer, to have less back pain and avoid any health issues in the future that will most likely occur if I don't change my habits and to be a better role model for my daughter. I am not on any crazy diet taking some kind of hormones or drinking some kind of shake to lose the weight I put on over years in a matter of weeks. I want to do this in a healthy way which will make it easier for me to keep it off and I want to hold on to the things I learn along the way to avoid a fallback.
With that being said, let's focus on some of my happy moments this week:
1. fresh tulips
2. awesome coworkers
3. spring weather
4. 13 Reasons Why (cannot stop watching)
5. fresh strawberries
6. Italian ice cream
7. old photo albums
10. snail mail
Come over and link up with Charlotte, Lindsay and I for our weekly What's Up, Weekend post. Feel free to share your happy moments, moments of gratitude and anything to help us all focus on the good things in life!
Happy Friday, friends! xxx
